OTU loopback modes include the terminal outer, facility outer, terminal inner and facility inner loopback. Terminal outer: A loopback that the client side incoming received signal is connected to the client side transmitter, and does not
pass the wrapper/dewrapper IC chip. Facility outer: A loopback that the WDM side incoming received signal is connected to the WDM side transmitter, and does not pass the wrapper/dewrapper IC chip. The OTU supports the outloop function.
Context
NOTICE: As loopback interrupts the services at the port, it is only used for the fault location and must be released after the fault is removed.
