Configuring OTS Overheads at the OTN Interfaces

Through the configuration of OTS overheads at the OTN interfaces of the WDM equipment, the NE software and U2000 Web LCT can monitor signals at the OTS layer so that the service can be monitored and maintained in a better way.

Prerequisites

The FIU board must be configured.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an FIU board and choose Configuration > WDM Overhead Management > OTN Overhead-OTN Interface > OTS Overhead from the Function Tree.
  2. Click Query at the right bottom of the interface and query the configuration of the current corresponding overhead.
  3. Optional: Select the unit port or channel. Click State > OOS to set the Primary, Secondary State.
  4. Double-click the fields TIM Mode, and select a new value.
  5. Double-click the parameter fields to set the parameters.
  6. Click Apply and the configuration is complete.
  7. Optional: Select the unit port or channel. Click State > IS to set the Primary, Secondary State.
