Checking the Protection Switching Status

On the U2000 Web LCT, you can configure multiple protection modes for the NG WDM equipment. To find the fault that causes the protection switching in a timely manner, you need to periodically check whether the protection switching status of services and boards is normal.

Context

You need to periodically check the protection switching status as follows:

Checking the Optical Line Protection Switching Status
If optical line protection (OLP) switching is triggered, it indicates the protection board failed. The network maintenance engineers can check the OLP switching status, to detect faults that make the protection facility unavailable.
Checking Intra-OTU 1+1 Protection Switching Status
You can check the status of intra-OTU board 1+1 protection switching.
Checking Client 1+1 Protection Switching Status
You can check the status of client 1+1 protection switching.
Checking SNCP Switching Status
You can check the SNCP switching status.
Checking 1+1 Board Switching Status
If board 1+1 protection switching is triggered, the protected board has failed. The network maintenance engineers can check 1+1 board switching status to detect the faults that caused the failure.
Checking VLAN SNCP Switching Status
You can check the VLAN SNCP switching status.
