Checking Whether Optical Power of a Board is Normal

Procedure

1. Optional: In the NE Explorer, select the board for which you want to check the optical power, and choose Configuration > Optical Power Management from the Function Tree.
2. In the NE Explorer, select a board and choose Performance > WDM Performance from the Function Tree. Click the History Performance Data tab.
3. In the right-hand pane, select Transmitted Optical Power, Received Optical Power, and Save to Database. Set other parameters to proper values.
   NOTE:

   Save to Database can be set only when the Query from NE is checked.

4. Click Query to obtain the history performance data from the NE.
5. Compare the historical value with the current optical power to determine whether the current value is normal.
