The spectrum analyzer unit provides the built-in in-service spectrum analysis and monitoring functions. The unit monitors parameters for each optical channel, such as central wavelength or frequency and the
optical power and OSNR, and reports the results to the SCC board and the U2000 Web LCT for data analysis.
Prerequisites
The spectrum analyzer board must be installed.
Procedure
- In the NE Explorer, select an optical spectrum analyzer board and choose from the Function Tree.
- Click
. In the dialog box, enter the type of the peer NE connected to the local NE, set compensation power value, and then click OK.
NOTE: - Due to the insertion loss of the MON port, the optical power reported through the MON port may differ from the actual optical power. Calibrate the power by setting the Compensation Power (dBm).
- You can modify the value of Compensation Power (dBm) based on actual requirements.
- Click Query to query optical spectrum analysis data from the NE. The spectrum analysis result is displayed in the form of data in the upper pane, and is displayed in the form of graphics and profile in the lower panes.

NOTE: - Click X-Axis Frequency to specify that the X-axis for the Spectrum Data, Spectrum Waveform, and Profile represents the frequency.
- Click X-Axis Wavelength to specify that the X-axis for the Spectrum Data, Spectrum Waveform, and Profile represents the wavelength.
