Parameters

Following is the description of the parameters of port protection.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > Port Protection from the Function Tree.

Note

For the protection switching command, the U2000 Web LCT considers only whether a command is successfully issued, but not the result of executing the command. Therefore, after the U2000 Web LCT issues a switching command, you need to manually query the switching status of the equipment.

Table 1 lists the parameters of the port protection group.

Table 1 Protection Group Parameters

Field

Value

Description

Protection Type

Optical Line Protection, Intra-Board 1+1 Protection, Client 1+1 Protection

Displays the protection type of the protection group.

Revertive Mode

Revertive, Non-Revertive

Default: Non-Revertive

Indicates whether the service is automatically switched from the standby path to the active path after the active path becomes normal.

Revertive means that the service can be automatically switched back. Non-Revertive means that the service is not switched to the active path after the active path becomes normal.

The default value is recommended.

NOTE:

In the case of the intra-board 1+1 protection configured by using the OLP or DCP board, when the Monitoring channel is configured, the reversion mode can be set to only the non-revertive mode.

WTR Time(mm:ss)

5:00 to 12:00

Default: 5:00

WTR time indicates the time interval between the time when the active path becomes normal and the time when the service is switched from the standby path to the active one.

The WTR Time(mm:ss) is valid only when the Revertive Mode is Revertive.

The default value is recommended.

SD Switching

Enabled, Disabled

Default: Disabled

Displays whether SD acts as the triggering condition.

Switching Status

Idle, SF Switching, SD Switching, Locked, Force Switching, Manual Switching, WTR, DNR, Unknown

Displays the current switching status of the protection group.

NOTE:

Unknown: Click Query, the current Switching Status, Working Channel Status and Protection Channel Status will be displayed.

Group State

OOS, IS

Displays whether the protection group is in service.
NOTE:
The protection can not be deleted if the Group State displays as IS.

Remarks

For example: The optical line protection between NE178 and NE179.

Indicates the protection group memo information. It is a string with a maximum length of 64 characters.

Table 2 lists the parameters of the channel status of the port protection group.

Table 2 Channel Status Parameters

Field

Value

Description

Current Channel

Work, Protect, Unknown

Displays the path of the current service.

Working Channel

For example: NE1-102-12LQMD-3(RX/TX)

Displays the working path of the protection group.

Working Channel Status

Idle, SF Switching, SD Switching, Locked, Force Switching, Manual Switching, WTR, DNR, Unknown

Displays the status of the working path.

Working Channel Hold-Off Time (100ms)

0 to 100

Default: 0

Displays the hold-off time of the working path. Hold-off time is the time delayed for the protection group to switch from the current working path to another path. Hold-off time effectively avoids repeated switching when the service status is not stable.

The hold-off time of the working path and protection path can be set according to the link status.

Control Channel/Monitoring Channel

For example: NE1-106-12OLP-1(IN/OUT)

Displays the channel information of the Control Channel/Monitoring Channel.
NOTE:
  • In the case of the inter-shelf or inter-NE client-side 1+1 protection configured for the OLP or the DCP board, the Control Channel information need be set.
  • In the case of the intra-board 1+1 protection configured by using the OLP or the DCP board, the Monitoring Channel can be set according to the networking requirements to improve the signal detection capability, however, you may also leave this parameter unset.
  • Others: none.

Protection Channel

For example: NE1-102-12LQMD-4(RX/TX)

Displays the protection path of the protection group.

Protection Channel Status

Idle, Locked, SF Switched, SD Switched, Force Switching, Manual Switching, Unknown

Displays the status of the protection path.

Protection Channel Hold-Off Time (100 ms)

0 to 100

Default: 0

Displays the hold-off time of the protection path. Hold-off time is the time delayed for the protection group to switch from the current working path to another path. Hold-off time effectively avoids repeated switching when the service status is not stable.

The hold-off time of the working path and protection path can be set according to the link status.

Remarks

Character string

Sets or displays the protection remarks.
