This section describes the principle of configuring the tributary SNCP protection.
The principles of configuring the tributary SNCP protection are as follows:
- The tributary board is the source and the line board is the sink. The client services that are accessed by the tributary board are selectively received on the line board.
- Users need to configure the selective receiving of the service that is sent by the line board.
- A centralized cross-connections board must be configured.
The supported protection types vary with the type of the services accessed by the tributary board:
- When the tributary board accesses the OTN services, the SNC/I, SNC/N, and SNC/S are supported.
- When the tributary board accesses the SONET services, only the SNC/I is supported.
The following requirements must be met when the TSXL board is configured with the tributary SNCP protection:
- The slot IDs of the working and protection channels must be different. The channel IDs must be the same.
- In the working channel, there must be no any other protection group where the source end of the working channel is this channel.
- In the protection channel, there must be no any other protection group where the source end of the protection channel is this channel.
- If four tributary SNCP protection groups are configured, the attribute settings of the protection groups must be the same.
