This section describes the principle of configuring the DLAG protection.
The principles of configuring the DLAG protection are as follows:
- The DLAG protection can be configured only between two 11LEX4, 11LEM24 or TBE boards. Multiple protection groups can be created between different ports of two 11LEX4, 11LEM24 or TBE boards.
- The IDs of the working and protection ports of one 11LEX4, 11LEM24 or TBE board in the protection group must be the same as the IDs of the working and protection ports of the other 11LEX4, 11LEM24 or TBE board.
- There is restriction on the service binding of the PORT and the VCTRUNK ports. That is, one VCTRUNK port of the board corresponds to only one Port port. One PORT port can correspond to multiple VCTRUNK ports.
- The non-DLAG port of the protection board cannot be configured with services. Users can only query but cannot configure the DLAG port of the protection board.
- The cross-connect capacity of the slot where the protection board is installed must be greater than or equal to that of the slot where the working board is installed. In the case of the OptiX OSN 6800A, the IU1-IU8 and IU11-IU16 slots provide cross-connection functions. The cross-connect capacity of the IU1, IU4, IU11, and IU14 slots is 40 Gbit/s, and the cross-connect capacity of the other slots is 20 Gbit/s.
- In the case of OptiX OSN 6800, the XCS board must be configured. IU9 is preferred for the XCS board. If the 1+1 protection is configured for the cross-connection board, the protection XCS board must be installed in IU10.
NOTICE: The DLAG protection cannot coexist with the following functions or protection:
- BPS protection
- Client-side 1+1 protection
- LPT function
- LAG function
In terms of configuring the DLAG services of the 11LEX4, 11LEM24 or TBE board, note the following rules.
- Other than the general configuration of dual fed and selective receiving function, the Ethernet interface attributes and Ethernet private line services need to be configured.
- The client-side service attributes (for example, working mode of the Ethernet) of the corresponding channels of active and standby boards must be the same.
