Project Description

This section describes the IPA configuration in a chain network.

Project I is a chain network consisting of four ONEs named A, B, C and D. A and D are OTM stations. B and C are OLA stations. All the four stations adopt the OptiX OSN 6800A equipment.

Project I carry three STS-192 services. Networking structure of the project is shown in Figure 1.

In Project I, the IPA function is required only on the two end stations. Figure 2 shows the IPA protection group allocation. Table 1 is provided to list the major parameters of the IPA pair.
