Configuring IPA

This chapter describes the configuration of intelligent power adjustment (IPA).

• Configuration Principle
  IPA function can be configured according to customers' requirements.
• Configuration Process
  This section describes the process of configuring IPA protection group, enabling IPA, and setting the restarting of IPA.
• Creating IPA
  Configure the Detection Board and Shutdown Board as an IPA protection group at the station. The optical amplifier board that serves as the detect board detects optical signals on upstream links, and the other optical amplifier board that serves as the control board controls power output for the station.
• Setting the Restarting of IPA
  When the Restart Mode of IPA is set to Manual, a manual restarting is required when the laser is shut down because the power becomes abnormal.
• Modifying IPA
  After the creation of IPA, parameters of the IPA can be modified.
• Deleting IPA
  After IPA creation, you can delete the IPA as required.
