This topic describes how to configure a cross-connection from another card to the ELQX or PTQX card.
Precautions
The LPT and ALS functions of the PTQX and ELQX cards cannot be used at the same time.
Configuration Principle
The configuration principles of the PTQX and ELQX cards are as follows:
- One ODU2LP can receive one signal from the ClientLP of the local card or the LP of another card.
- For details on the fixed wavelength combination that is used by a PIU group, see Table 1.
Context
A PID group can work in the following modes:
- One PTQX card and two ELQX cards receive 12 signals on the client side, or one PTQX card and one ELQX card receive 8 signals on the client side, and then the WDM-side optical ports of the PTQX card transmit these signals.
- The backplanes of one PTQX card and two ELQX cards receive 12 ODU2 signals or 48 ODU1 signals that are groomed, or the backplanes of one PTQX card and one ELQX card receive 8 ODU2 signals or 32 ODU1 signals that are groomed, and then the WDM-side optical ports of the PTQX card transmit these signals.
This section describes the configuration process for the second working mode.
Procedure
- Configure WDM port attributes for the PTQX and ELQX cards.
- In the NE Explorer, select the required PTQX or ELQX card and choose from the Function Tree.
- Click By Card/Channel and select Channel from the drop-down list.
- On the Advanced Attributes tab page, set FEC Working State and Line Rate according to service types, and set Configure Wavelength No./Wavelength (nm)/Frequency (THz) and Configure Band Type according to planned wavelengths for services.
- Configure a cross-connection from another card to the PTQX or ELQX card.
- Choose from the Function Tree.
- On the Electrical Cross-Connection Configuration interface, click New. The Create Cross-Connection Service dialog box is displayed. Set Service Level, Service Type, and other parameters of the electrical cross-connection services.
- Click OK.
