Configuring PID Services
- Overview
A photonic integrated device (PID) board integrates an optical transponder unit (OTU) and an optical multiplexer/demultiplexer (MUX/DEMUX) unit. One group of PID boards implement the same functions as multiple OTU and MUX/DEMUX units do.
- Networking and Application
The OptiX OSN 6800A, OptiX OSN 8800 T16(NA), OptiX OSN 8800 T32(NA) and OptiX OSN 8800 T64(NA) series with the PID functions support point-to-point networks, ring networks, and mesh networks.
