The OptiX OSN 6800A, OptiX OSN 8800 T16(NA), OptiX OSN 8800 T32(NA) and OptiX OSN 8800 T64(NA) series with the PID functions support point-to-point networks, ring networks, and mesh networks.
Point-to-Point Network
A point-to-point network is mainly used at the backbone layer to implement the point-to-point large-capacity connection.

Ring Network
On a ring network, services are transmitted among core nodes by using the PID function.
