EPL Service

The Ethernet private line (EPL) service is classified into two types. The first type is based on the port type, and the second type is based on the port type plus the VLAN information.

EPL services of Port type can be transparently transmitted. See Figure 1.

EPL services of Port + VLAN type can be converged to save port resources through several services that share a PORT port, or save VCTRUNK resources by sharing a VCTRUNK port. See Figure 2 and Figure 3.
