Service Package Operation Scenario

Main function of a service package: a user selects a typical service package and issues its commands to configure services.

Status and mode of the system:
  • Before configuring the service package as Tributary line 7*STM-1/OC3->OTU1 or Tributary line 7*FE->ODU0, select the unit port or channel. Click State > OOS to set the Primary, Secondary State.
  • Before configuring or replacing a service package, ensure that there is no cross-connection or protection on a 52TOM board.
  • If a port on a 52TOM board is in tributary-line mode and is set to a WDM-side port, service packages cannot be configured on this board.

Service Package Configuration Specifications

A service package configures services on all boards of an NE according to user instructions by issuing a series of configuration commands, including commands for configuring cross-connections, port types and service types.

Table 1 lists configurations on the 52TOM board.
