Before you configure a PRBS test on the meter board, set PRBS Through of the auxiliary boards at the near and far ends.
Prerequisites
The corresponding OTU must be configured.
The service type must be set according to the board type. only support OTN service.
The WDM-side outloop, client-side inloop, or fiber loopback is configured on the remote auxiliary board based on the networking requirements.

In the case of OptiX ONS 3800A/6800A/8800(NA) series, 12NS2, 11ND2, 12TQM, 12LSX, 11LQG, 12LQMS, 12LQMD, 13LQM, 11LOM, 11TOM, 11TQX, 12TDX, 12LSXL, LSQ, 51NQ2, 11LOG, 12ND2, 12LOG, 12LDX, 12ELQX, 12PTQX, 12LOM, 52NS3, 52ND2, 52NS2, 52NQ2, 52TQX, 52TDX, 52TOM, 11LEX4, 11LEM24, 53TSXL, 54ENQ2, 54NPO2, 11LEX4, 11LEM24 boards, only the WDM side supports the PRBS function of sending PRBS signals. In the case of the 12LSX, 11TMX and 12TMX boards, both the client and WDM sides support the PRBS function of sending PRBS signals.
In the case of OptiX ONS 1800(NA) series, LDE, LQPU, LQPL, ELOM, LOE, LOEU, LSX boards, only the WDM side supports the PRBS function of sending PRBS signals.
Precautions
NOTICE: - After the PRBS Through is enabled, do not perform any other operation, such as modifying the service type, opening or closing a laser, or configuring a loopback.
- After the PRBS test is complete, stop the test. Then, configure the PRBS Through of the board to OFF.
Procedure
- In the NE Explorer, select a board and choose from the Function Tree.
- Select the unit port or channel. Click State and choose OOS to set the Primary, Secondary State.
- Click Maintenance and choose Remove to set the maintenance state.
- Double-click PRBS Through field, and select ON.
- Click Apply.
- After the PRBS test. Select the unit port or channel. Click State and choose IS to set the Primary, Secondary State.
- Click Maintenance and choose Restore to set the maintenance state.
