Ethernet Service OAM

In this user interface, you can view, create, delete and modify maintenance points, and start OAM functions.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select a board and choose Configuration > Ethernet Maintenance > Ethernet Service OAM from the shortcut menu.

Description

Query

Queries OAM information from the NE.

New

Creates an MP.

Delete

Deletes the MP.

OAM Operation

Includes options such as Start LB, Start LT, Start Ping, Performance Detect, Activate CC and Deactivate CC.

OAM Configuration

Includes options such as New Maintenance Domain and Maintenance Association.

Apply

Sends the configuration to the NE.

Node

  • Equipment that supports the master and slave shelf management: shelf ID(shelf name)-slot number-board name-port number(port name)
  • Equipment that does not support the master and slave shelf management: slot number-board name-port number(port name)

Displays the current node.

VLAN ID

0 to 4095

Displays the VLAN ID of monitored services.

MP ID

For example: 1F-1F-FF00

Displays the address of the maintenance node (MP).

Type

MEP, MIP

Displays the type of the maintenance node. The maintenance node (MP) includes maintenance terminal point (MEP) and maintenance intermediate point (MIP).

Level

Consumer High (0), Consumer Middle (1), Consumer Low (2), Provider High (3), Provider Low (4), Operator High (5), Operator Middle (6), Operator Low (7)

Displays the level of OAM frames. The smaller the number, the higher the level.

Direction

IP, Bidirectional, WDM

Sets the transmit direction of OAM frames. Select IP and WDM for MEP nodes, and Bidirectional for MIP nodes.

MD

For example: MD1

Displays maintenance domain name.

MA

For example: MA1

Displays maintenance association name.

CC Status

Active, Inactive

Displays whether CC is active.

LB Timeout (ms)

3000 to 60000, in increments of 100

Default: 5000

Displays the LB test timeout.

LT Timeout (ms)

3000 to 60000, in increments of 100

Default: 5000

Displays the LT test timeout.

CCM Sending Period (ms)

1000 to 60000, in increments of 100

Default: 5000

Displays the CCM sending period.

AIS Activation State

Active, Deactive

Displays or sets AIS activation state.

Client Layer Level

1 to 7

Displays or sets client layer level.

AIS Period (ms)

1000,60000

Displays or sets AIS period.

CC Destination Multicast MAC Address

For example: 00-80-C2-00-00-30

Displays or sets CC destination multicast MAC address.
