OAM Parameter

In this user interface, you can configure Ethernet port OAM parameters and perform port OAM check.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select a board and choose Configuration > Ethernet Maintenance > Ethernet Port OAM from the Function Tree. Click the OAM parameter tab.

OAM

Remote Side Loopback Enabled

Sets to enable the OAM remote loopback.

Remote Side Loopback Disabled

Sets to disable the OAM remote loopback.

Displays the port name.

Enable OAM Protocol

Disabled, Enabled

Default: Disabled

After the OAM protocol is enabled, the current Ethernet port starts to use the preset mode to create the OAM connection with the opposite end.

OAM Working Mode

Active, Passive

Default: Active

Sets the OAM working mode at the port.

Remote Alarm Support for Link Event

Enabled, Disabled

Default: Enabled

Sets whether the local link event can be notified to the opposite end.

Remote Side Loopback Response

Disabled, Enabled

Default: Disabled

If the Remote Side Loopback Response is enabled, this port responds to the loopback request from the opposite end.

Max. OAM Packet Length (byte)

For example: 1000

Displays the maximum OAM packet length.

Loopback Status

Non-Loopback, Initiate Loopback at Local, Respond Loopback of Remote

Displays the loopback status of the port.
