In this user interface, you can set parameters for tributary and line board boards, such as laser status, automatic laser shutdown and path use status.
In the NE Explorer, click the NE and select a card and select from the Function Tree.
The FEC Working State and Enable Auto-Sensing can not be set together.
When Enable Auto-Sensing is set as "Y", you need to manually query the parameters again, then you will find the Line Rate can not be edited.

Description |
|
|---|---|---|
By Card/Channel |
Lists port parameters of all selected NEs and cards. |
|
By Function |
Lists a selected port parameter of all selected NEs and cards. |
|
Power Saving |
SB |
Start power saving function of the channel. NOTE:
The state of power saving can not be set as SB when the channel is in the Remove state. |
SB-DEA |
Cancel power saving function of the channel. |
|
Maintenance |
Remove |
Changes the service state of the specified port to Out of Service - Maintenance (OOS-MA, MT). After the remove action, there is no alarm generated for the corresponding facility and existing alarms must be cleared. Any circumstances are reported as not required (NR) and performance message (PM) continues to be collected and is marked invalid. This is done before performing loopback and NULL mapping status. |
Restore |
Instructs an NE to restore service of the port on the card. The card will change the port state from maintenance to the original state. All existing alarms must be reported. |
|
State |
IS |
Sets the state of the ports to be in service. |
OOS |
Sets the state of the ports to be out of service. |
|
AINS |
Sets the state of the ports to be automatic in service. |

Optical Interface |
NOTE:
For details about the differences between the standard and compatibility modes, see the Impacts of the Standard Mode on the U2000 in Channel Model (OTU, Line or PID Board). |
Displays the position of this optical interface. |
Primary, Secondary State |
Primary, Secondary |
Displays whether a WDM port is the primary or the secondary one. |
Card Mode |
NORMAL, REG, CASCADING, NON-CASCADING |
Sets the card mode. |
Port Name |
For example: TO1/RI1 |
Displays the port name. |
Port Remarks |
Character string |
Sets the remarks for the port. |
Signal Validation Timer |
|
Sets the signal validation time of the optical port. |
Wavelength Number |
40, 80 Default: 40 |
The maximum number of wavelengths a DWC board can process. |
Actual Band Type |
CBAND, CWDMBAND |
Displays the band of the current working wavelength. |
Wavelength Number Range |
1&&40 |
Displays the range of wavelength number. |
Laser Status |
OPEN, CLOSE |
Sets the status of a laser. |
Automatic Laser Shutdown |
ENABLE, DISABLE |
Sets whether to shut down the laser automatically or not. If auto-shutdown is set, when the received signal is lost, the laser will shut down automatically, so that the laser service life is extended and body injury is avoided. |
ALS Auxiliary Condition |
FW_Defect, BW_Client_R_LOS, BW_WDM_Defect, FW_OPUk_CSF |
When Automatic Laser Shutdown function is enabled, you can choose to set auxiliary conditions for ALS on Client port. NOTE:
Several conditions can be chosen at the same time. |
Service Type |
For example: OC12 |
Sets the service type of the client side. |
Service Rate (Mbit/s) |
For example: 128 |
Sets the service rate for the ANY service. |
Service Mode |
Client, OTN, ODU1, ODU2 |
Sets the service mode for a port. |
LPT Enabled |
DISABLE, ENABLE |
Enables or disables the LPT function for an EPL service. Currently, only the L4G board in the NG WDM equipment series supports the LPT function. |
PRBS Through |
ON, OFF |
Enables or disables the PRBS function for the card. |
Loopback |
NOLOOP, TERMINAl, FACILITY |
Sets loopback according to the port of the board. |
Rate band (M) |
34 to 2700 |
Sets the rate of transmission for this optical port. |
FEC Working State |
AFEC, OFF, STDFEC, AUTO |
Sets whether the board performs FEC processing on data. |
Enable Auto-Sensing |
Y, N |
Sets whether enable the auto-sensing function. |
Actual Wavelength No./Wavelength (nm)/Frequency (Thz) |
For example: 1/1529.16/196.05 |
Displays the actual working wavelength, wavelength number and frequency of a port. |
Configure Wavelength No./Wavelength (nm)/Frequency (THz) |
For example: 1/1529.16/196.05 |
Displays the working wavelength, wavelength number and frequency of a port that you configure. |
Configure Band Type |
CBAND, CWDMBAND |
Set the band of the working wavelength. If the board supports the band that you configure, the actual band type is the same as the configured band type. |
Payload Type |
For example: GETH |
Sets the payload type for the optical interface. |
Port Mapping |
For example: GFPF |
Sets the mapping trail for the service. |
Ethernet Working Mode |
For example: Auto-Negotiation |
Working modes of the Ethernet port. The autosensing mode is recommended, because it can automatically find out the best working mode to combine a port and its interconnected port and thus is convenient for maintenance. The port and its interconnected port must have the same settings of working mode. Otherwise, this results in the failure of services. |
Line Rate |
STD, ODU2E, ODU3E |
Sets the rate of the line-side port on the board. |
Maximum Frame Length |
1518 to 9600 |
Sets the maximum packet length of the data. Packets that exceed this length are discarded. |
NULL Mapping Status |
PRBS, Null-CLIENT, STOP |
Set the test signal type. |
Reserved Overhead Transparently Transmitted |
Y, N |
Indicates whether the reserved overhead bytes is transparently transmitted with service cross-connections. It is applicable only to ODU2 service. |
