Dispersion Compensation

In this user interface, you can set and query the dispersion compensation value, set and query the enabling status of fine adjusting dispersion compensation, enable or disable the best dispersion compensation search, and query the searching status of the best value.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, select a board and choose Configuration > Dispersion Compensation from the Function Tree.

Start Scan

Starts the scan for the best dispersion compensation value.

Stop Scan

Stops the scan for the best dispersion compensation value.

State

IS

Sets the state of the TDC to be in service.

OOS

Sets the state of TDC to be out of service.

ANIS

Sets the state of TDC to be in service automatically.

Optical interface

  • Equipment that supports the master and slave shelf management: shelf ID(shelf name)-slot number-board name-port number(port name)
  • Equipment that does not support the master and slave shelf management: slot number-board name-port number(port name)

Displays the board port of dispersion compensation.

Auto Adjust

ENABLE, DISABLE

Indicates whether dispersion fine adjustment is enabled.

TDC State

IDLE, SUCCESS, FAIL, ADJUSTING

Indicates the current state of dispersion adjustment.

TDC Value (ps/nm)

-400 to 400

Displays the best dispersion compensation queried from the NE after successful search or the dispersion compensation value that you set.

TDC Min (ps/nm)

For example: -32768

Displays the minimum dispersion compensation queried from the NE.

TDC Max (ps/nm)

For example: 32767

Displays the maximum dispersion compensation queried from the NE.

TDC Step (ps/nm)

-32768 to 32767

Displays the adjustment step adopted by the dispersion compensation modules.

Signal Validation Timer

For example: 00-03

Sets the signal validation timer in minutes.

NOTE:
It is a string, and the format is HH-MM.

Primary, Secondary State

For example: OOS-AU, SGEO

Displays the state of the port.
