Electrical Cross-Connection Configuration

In this user interface, you can create normal electrical cross-connections and SNCP services. You can also perform conversion between these two types of services. If the created service is not properly configured during configuration, the U2000 Web LCT does not send the new service data to NEs and it automatically notifies the operator.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, click an NE and choose Configuration > Electrical Cross-Connection Service Management from the Function Tree. Click the Electrical Cross-Connection Configuration tab.

Parameters

Table 1 Electrical Cross-Connection Configuration

Field

Value

Description

Service Level

GE, Any, OTU1, OTU2, OTU3, ODU0, ODU1, ODU2, ODU3, ODU5G

Specifies the level of the new service.

Direction

Bidirectional, Unidirectional

If the receive service and transmit service have the same route, they are regarded as a bidirectional service. If the receive service and transmit service have different routes, they are two unidirectional services.

Service Type

For GE, OTUK and ODUk services, this value cannot be modified.

For Any services, FE, FC50, STM-1, STM-4, STM-16, OC3, OC12, OC48, FC100, FC200, FICON, FICON Express, HDSDI, DVBASI, SDI, ESCON, FDDI, IBSDR, IBDDR

Specifies the type of the new service.

Occupied ODTUk Timeslots

1 to 8

Indicates the quantity of ODUflex timeslots.
NOTE:
  • Set this parameter when Level of a WDM cross-connection is ODUflex and Service Type is Custom or PACKET.
  • The quantity of ODUflex timeslots ranges from 1 to 8, and the rate that ODUflex supports is 1.25 Gbit/s (1 x 1.25 Gbit/s) to 10 Gbit/s (8 x 1.25 Gbit/s).
Recommended value for Occupied ODTUk Timeslots:
  • Calculation formula: recommended quantity of occupied ODTUk timeslots = service rate of the port/ODU0 rate (1.25 Gbit/s). If the result is not an integer, the timeslot quantity is the integer number of the result plus 1.
  • Principle:
    • If the source and sink boards are tributary and line boards respectively, the recommended timeslot quantity is that of the tributary board service.
    • If the source and sink boards are line boards, there is no the recommended timeslot quantity.

Service Rate(bit/s)

1 to 9993964557

Indicates or sets the service rate.
NOTE:

Set this parameter when Level of a WDM cross-connection is ODUflex and Service Type is Custom.

Source Slot

  • Equipment that supports the master and slave shelf management: shelf ID(shelf name)-slot number-board name
  • Equipment that does not support the master and slave shelf management: slot number-board name

Displays the source slot of the service.

Source Port

For example: 1(LP/LP)

Displays the source port of the service.

Source Optical Path (e.g. 1,3-6)

For example: 3-1

Displays the source optical path of the service.

Sink Slot

  • Equipment that supports the master and slave shelf management: shelf ID(shelf name)-slot number-board name
  • Equipment that does not support the master and slave shelf management: slot number-board name

Displays the sink slot of the service.

Sink Port

For example: 201(AP1/AP1)

Displays the sink port of the service.

Sink Optical Path (e.g. 1,3-6)

For example: 3-1

Displays the sink optical path of the service.

Remarks

The maximum length is 32 characters.

Displays the remarks for the service.

Table 2 Create SNCP

Field

Value

Description

Protection Type

SW SNCP, ODUk SNCP

Specifies the level of the new service.

Direction

Bidirectional, Unidirectional

If the receive service and transmit service have the same route, they are regarded as a bidirectional service. If the receive service and transmit service have different routes, they are two unidirectional services.

OTN level

For SNC/N: PM, TCM1, TCM2, TCM3, TCM4, TCM5, TCM6

For SNC/S: TCM1, TCM2, TCM3, TCM4, TCM5, TCM6

Sets the OTN level of the service.

SNCP Type

  • For SW SNCP and MSSNCP: none
  • For ODUk SNCP: SNC/I, SNC/N, SNC/S

Displays the protection type of the service.

Service Type

  • For SW SNCP: GE, FE,FC50, STM1, STM4, STM16, OC3, OC12, OC48, FC100, FC200, FICON, FICON Expresss, HDSDI, DVBASI, SDI, ESCON, FDDI, IBSDR, IBDDR
  • For ODUk SNCP: ODU0, ODU1, ODU2, ODU3, ODU5G

Specifies the service type of the new service.

Revertive Mode

Revertive, Non-Revertive

Chooses whether the service is switched to the original working path after the failure is eliminated. If you want the service to be switched back to the original working path then, select Revertive. If you do not want the service to be switched back then, select Non-Revertive.

WTR Time (mm:ss)

5:00-12:00

Sets the wait-to-restore time. It is the time interval between the time when the working service is detected to be normal after switching and the time when the service is switched back to the working path. You can modify the Revertive Mode only when the value is Revertive.

Protection Channel Hold-Off Time (100ms)

0-100

Sets the time interval between the time when the system detects signal degrade and the time when the service switching occurs, in order to avoid repeated switching when the service status is not stable. The Protection Channel Hold-Off Time (100ms) is the switching delay time for protection channel.

Working Channel Hold-Off Time (100ms)

0-100

Sets the time interval between the time when the system detects signal degrade and the time when the service switching occurs, in order to avoid repeated switching when the service status is not stable. The Working Channel Hold-Off Time (100ms) is the switching delay time for working channel.

SD Enabling Flag

Enabled, Disabled

Sets the SD enabling flag.
