In this user interface, you can set parameters for optical transponder boards. The parameters are laser status, automatic laser shutdown, maximum or minimum attenuation rate and path use status.
In the NE Explorer, click the NE and select a card and select from the Function Tree.

|---|---|---|
By Card/Channel |
Lists port parameters of all selected NEs and cards. |
|
By Function |
Lists a selected port parameter of all selected NEs and cards. |
|
Power Saving |
SB |
Start power saving function of the channel. NOTE:
The
state of power saving can not be set as SB when
the channel is in the Remove state. |
SB-DEA |
Cancel power saving function of the channel. |
|
Maintenance |
Remove |
Changes the service state of the specified port to Out of Service - Maintenance (OOS-MA, MT). After the remove action, there is no alarm generated for the corresponding facility and existing alarms must be cleared. Any circumstances are reported as not required (NR) and performance message (PM) continues to be collected and is marked invalid. This is done before performing loopback and NULL mapping status. |
Restore |
Instructs an NE to restore service of the port on the card. The card will change the port state from maintenance to the original state. All existing alarms must be reported. |
|
State |
IS |
Sets the state of the ports to be in service. |
OOS |
Sets the state of the ports to be out of service. |
|
AINS |
Sets the state of the ports to be automatic in service. |

Description |
|---|---|---|
Optical Interface/Channel |
|
Displays the position of this optical interface. |
Primary, Secondary State |
Primary, Secondary |
Displays whether a WDM port is the primary or the secondary one. |
Port Name |
For example: TO1/RI1 |
Displays the port name. |
Port Remarks |
Character string |
Displays the port remarks of the card. |
Loss Laser Threshold (dB) |
-35.0 to -10.0 |
The laser that is smaller than this value cannot be determined. |
Signal Validation Timer |
|
Sets the signal validation time of the optical port. |
Power Offset |
-10.0 to 10.0 |
Sets the power offset. |
Threshold of Power Loss (dBm) |
-35.0 to 0.0 |
Sets the threshold of the optical power loss. When the input optical power is below this value, the loss of input signals occurs. |
Threshold power value of the Signal fail |
3.0 to 8.0 |
Sets the threshold power of the SF (signal fail) alarm. This parameter is valid only for the DCP/OLP unit. |
