DCC Channel Configuration

Fiber communication uses the reserved byte D1-D12 in the frame for transmission, as byte D is the physical basis of fiber communication.

DCC channel configuration is to configure the DCC channel of an optical port, including:
  • Allocating DCC bytes for the DCC channel of an optical port. For example, D1-D3.
  • Setting data link layer protocol for the DCC channel. Different protocols give different functionalities to the DCC channel. While data link layer type is TRANSPARENT, the DCC channel is used for DCC transparent transmission. You do not need to specify the data link layer protocol.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, click the NE and select Communication > DCC Channel Configuration from the Function Tree. Select the DCC Channel Configuration tab.

Parameters

Field

Value

Description

Name

For example: 102-12SC1-1(RM1/TM1)-D1-D3

Displays the type of access identifier. Currently, only D1-D3 and D4-D12 are supported.

Protocol

TRANSPARENT, PPP

Displays the data link layer protocol type of the DCC channel.

TRANSPARENT: No data link layer protocol is required. The DCC channel is a transparent channel.

PPP: The data link layer protocol is IP protocol.

Bandwidth

For example: 9*64k

Displays the bandwidth of the channel.

Channel State

OK, RX_F, RX_F&TX_F, TX_F

Displays the channel state. The state represents data receiving state or data sending state on the physical channel. The state is mainly used to find the fault reasons.
