Configuring Flow Classification

Flow classification is performed for service packets at the network ingress. By using the given rules, the flow classification function identifies packets that meet different types of characteristics. Flow classification is the precondition and basis for providing differentiated service.

Prerequisites

Applies to the 11LEX4, 11LEM24, TBE, L4G board of the OptiX OSN 8800 T16(NA), OptiX OSN 8800 T32(NA), OptiX OSN 8800 T64(NA), OptiX OSN 6800A and the OptiX OSN 3800A.

Applicable to the LEM18 board of the OptiX OSN 1800(NA).

The Ethernet service must be created.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select a board and choose Configuration > QoS Management > Flow Management from the Function Tree.
  2. Click the Flow Configuration tab. Click New and the New Flow dialog box is displayed.
  3. Set Flow Type, Port and other parameters.
  4. Click OK.
