Diagnosing Ethernet Protocol Faults

When the Ethernet protocol operates abnormally, the U2000 Web LCT diagnoses the protocol fault, displays the diagnosis contents, and restores the normal operation of the Ethernet protocol.

Prerequisites

Applies to the 11LEX4, 11LEM24, TBE, L4G board of the OptiX OSN 8800 T16(NA), OptiX OSN 8800 T32(NA), OptiX OSN 8800 T64(NA), OptiX OSN 6800A and the OptiX OSN 3800A.

Context

The protocol types that can be diagnosed include 802.1agOAM, 802.3ahOAM, LAG, DLAG, RSTP, IGMP Snooping.

In the case of the L4G board, the OAM or DLAG protocols are not supported.

Procedure

In the NE Explorer, select an Ethernet board and choose Configuration > Ethernet Maintenance > Protocol Fault Management from the Function Tree.
Select a protocol in the Protocol Type and click Diagnosis. The user interface of the U2000 Web LCT displays the diagnosis result.
