Configuring the Aging Time for the Multicast Router Port

If the IGMP Snooping subsystem fails to receive any query packet at the router port before the aging timer of the router port times out, the IGMP Snooping subsystem regards that the router port is invalid.

Prerequisites

Creating the Ethernet LAN services succeeded.

Enabling the IGMP Snooping Protocol.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an Ethernet board and choose Configuration > Layer-2 Switching Management > IGMP Snooping Protocol from the Function Tree. Click Multicast Aging Time table.
  2. Sets the multicast aging time.

    NOTE:
    Multicast Aging Time (min): It should be set to an integer within 1 to 120. The value is 8 by default.

  3. Click Apply.
