Viewing Remote OAM Parameters

To use the IEEE 802.3ah ETHOAM function to detect Ethernet, you must ensure the same configuration of OAM parameters on the equipment at both ends of an Ethernet link. You can view the remote OAM parameters to know the parameter configuration of the remote equipment.

Prerequisites

  • The IEEE 802.3ah OAM function must be enabled on the remote equipment.
  • Applicable to the LEM18 board of the OptiX OSN 1800(NA).
  • Applicable to the TBE board of the OptiX OSN 6800A and OptiX OSN 3800A.
  • Applicable to the 11LEX4, 11LEM24 board of the OptiX OSN 6800A, OptiX OSN 3800A, OptiX OSN 8800 T32(NA) and OptiX OSN 8800 T64(NA).

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an Ethernet board, and choose Configuration > Ethernet Maintenance > Ethernet Port OAM from the Function Tree. Click the Remote OAM Parameter tab.
  2. Click Query to query remote OAM parameters.
