Synchronizing the NE Time with the Standard NTP Server Time

You can use the standard network time protocol (NTP) service to automatically synchronize the NE time with the standard NTP server time.

Prerequisites

The key and password of an NE must be set by using the standard NTP key management function.

The NE must support the standard NTP synchronization mode.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > NE Time Synchronization from the Function Tree.
  2. Set the Synchronous Mode to Standard NTP.
  3. Set the Standard NTP Authentication to Enabled.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. In the pane at the bottom of the window, right-click, and choose New from the shortcut menu to create a standard NTP server.
  6. Click Apply to synchronize the NE time.
