Configuring the IP Static Route for an NE

A static route forwards the data between NEs, or between a router and the computer where the U2000 Web LCT is installed.

Background Information

NOTICE:

Do not manually create an IP route because the IP route that is manually created has the highest priority. That is, NEs communicate with each other through the route that is manually created. If you incorrectly create an IP route, even if the IP route that is automatically created is good, the communication fails because the NEs communicate with each other through the route that is manually created.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Communication > IP Route from the Function Tree.
  2. Click New and the Create an IP Route dialog box is displayed. Set the Destination IP, Subnet Mask and Gateway.
  3. Click OK.
