Verifying the Board 1+1 Protection Switching

By using the U2000 Web LCT, you can perform or clear protection switching for a board. During deployment and commissioning, you can perform switching to test whether the board protection switching works properly. In fault maintenance, you can perform this operation to locate faults.

Prerequisites

  • The 1+1 board protection group must be available.
  • The protection board works properly.

Context

NOTICE:

If the protection board is abnormal, services may be interrupted when you perform switching.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select the NE and choose Configuration > Board 1+1 Protection from the Function Tree.
  2. Click Query to view the active board and the current working board.
  3. Select a 1+1 protection group and click Working/Protection Switching.
  4. In the Confirm dialog box that is displayed for two times, click OK and then click Close in the Operation Result dialog box.
  5. Click Query to refresh the switching status of the 1+1 protection group.

    NOTE:
    In the case of SCC protection pair, you can query standby status of the SCC board.

  6. Optional: Click Restore Working/Protection to restore the 1+1 protection group to the status before the switching is performed.
