Optical power management is the core part of a WDM system to ensure normal transmission of signals. For multiplexed signals, sufficient optical power is an important factor to maintain transmission of signals over a long distance. For a single signal, power equalization between signals is an important factor that affects the transmission quality of signals. The U2000 Web LCT provides optical power control, equalization, link detection and protection for link fault.

Querying Laser Spectrum Analysis Data
The spectrum analyzer unit provides the built-in in-service spectrum analysis and monitoring functions. The unit monitors parameters for each optical channel, such as central wavelength or frequency and the optical power and OSNR, and reports the results to the SCC board and the U2000 Web LCT for data analysis.
Guaranteeing Laser Performance
The input optical power and output optical power of the board ports are important indexes to measure the laser performance. Laser performance is crucial for the quality and transmission distance of signals. To keep the entire transmission system running stably, you must guarantee the laser performance. That is, control the input and output optical power of the ports and the fluctuation of the upper and lower threshold of the input optical power within the appropriate range, and correct or alert the optical power offset.
Monitoring and Maintaining Optical Power
The optical power must be normal and stable so that the service can be transmitted correctly. If the optical power is too high or too low, bit errors or damage to optical components may be caused, affecting the service. Therefore, you need to monitor and maintain the optical power to avoid such a case.
