Maintaining MC-LAGs

This topic describes how to maintain MC-LAGs, such as modifying MCSP parameters, deleting MCSPs, modifying MC-LAG parameters, and deleting MC-LAGs.

Prerequisites

Procedure

Modify MCSP parameters.
1. In the NE Explorer, select the Ethernet board and choose Configuration > Multi-Chassis Synchronization Protocol from the Function Tree.
2. Select an MCSP and double-click its parameters to enter new values. The modifiable parameters are Port and Hello Interval (s).
3. Click Apply.
Delete an MCSP.
1. In the NE Explorer, select the Ethernet board and choose Configuration > Multi-Chassis Synchronization Protocol from the Function Tree.
2. Select an MCSP and click Delete.
3. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
Modify MC-LAG parameters.
1. In the NE Explorer, select the Ethernet board and choose Configuration > Ethernet Interface Management > Ethernet Link Aggregation Management from the Function Tree. Click the MC-LAG Management tab.
2. Select an MC-LAG and click Modify. In the Modify MC-LAG dialog box, modify Reversion Mode, Set Southbound Port and Reversion Time (minute) of the selected MC-LAG.
  NOTE:
  Reversion Time (minute) can be set only when Reversion Mode is Revertive.
3. Click OK.
Delete an MC-LAG.
1. In the NE Explorer, select the Ethernet board and choose Configuration > Ethernet Interface Management > Ethernet Link Aggregation Management from the Function Tree. Click the MC-LAG Management tab.
2. Select an MC-LAG and click Delete.
3. In the dialog box that is displayed indicating that this operation will interrupt MC-LAG services, click OK to delete the MC-LAG.
