Adding/Modifying a Slave Shelf

In this user interface, you can dynamically add a slave shelf or modify the attributes of a slave shelf.

NOTICE:
Associating with physical shelves may interrupt services.
NOTE:

To manage a new shelf on an OptiX OSN 1800, associate the shelf with its physical shelf first.

Shelf ID

Displays the ID of the slave shelf.

Shelf type

For example: OSN6800

Displays the name of the slave shelf type that you want to add or modify.

Shelf name

For example: Slave Shelf3

Specifies the name of the slave shelf that you want to modify.

Service Type

None, SDH, OTN, SDH+OTN, PACKET, SDH+PACKET, OTN+PACKET, SDH+OTN+PACKET

Sets the service type for a shelf of the OptiX OSN 1832, OptiX OSN 8800 series,OptiX OSN 8800(NA) series and OptiX OSN 9600/9800 series NEs.

Cross-Connect Capacity

360G, 360G~640G, 360G~720G, 720G~1.28T, 640G~1.6T, 1.28T~2.56T, 2.56T~3.2T, 3.2T~6.4T, 0G, 800G, 800G~1.6T, 1.6T~3.2T, 6.4T~12.8T

Sets the cross-connect capacity for a shelf of the OptiX OSN 1832, OptiX OSN 8800 series,OptiX OSN 8800(NA) series and OptiX OSN 9600/9800 series NEs.

Enabled, Disabled

Enables or disables the 1588 function for a shelf.

Physical Shelves Code

For example: 0:2102113277N0B6000013

Indicates the bar code of the associated physical shelf.

When physical fibers are properly connected for a slave shelf on the OptiX OSN 1800, you cannot add the shelf data to the U2000 Web LCT by uploading the shelf. To manage the shelf on the U2000 Web LCT, you must add the logical shelf and then associate it to its physical shelf.

Lower Order Cross-Connect

Enabled, Disabled

Enables or disables the lower order cross-connect function for a shelf of the OptiX OSN 8800 series and OptiX OSN 8800(NA) series NEs.
