Managing Link Resources
As the
network is growing larger, a reasonable
way of resource management is required to make the most of the network
resources and to improve the network efficiency. ASON links are composed of control channels, control links and TE links.
- Setting the Usage Threshold of WDM Fiber Resources
The usage threshold of the fiber resources can be set according to the requirements of the customer. When the fiber resource occupancy exceeds the usage threshold, the system reports alarm.
- Querying Resource Occupation Status
You can query the resource occupation and reservation status of a port of a board. The status includes the following: optical occupation status and electrical occupation status.
- Setting Resource Reservation
You can reserve resource for traditional WDM trails on ASON NEs. In an ASON, you can also create traditional services in addition to ASON services. The reserved resources at a port are used for the creation of traditional WDM trail. These resources cannot be used when you create ASON-WDM services or when the ASON-WDM services are rerouted.
- Collect Bandwidth Statistics for TE Link
By collect the bandwidth statistics of the TE links, The U2000 Web LCT displays the bearing relationship between the TE links. You can view the relationship more clearly, to facilitate located the problem. Also, you can filter the TE link then collect the bandwidth statistics for the required links.
