Configuring an Inband DCN
This section describes how to configure an inband DCN.
- Setting the VLAN ID and Bandwidth Used by an Inband DCN
The RTN equipment communicates with the U2000 Web LCT in inband DCN mode. The DCN packet is transmitted with the service information, and the equipment marks the management information with a default VLAN ID. You can adjust the bandwidth of an inband DCN.
- Enabling the Port DCN
The DCN packets can be transported in the inband DCN only when the DCN access function is enabled for the ports at two ends of the link.
- Setting the U2000 Web LCT Access Parameters
In the case of the traditional DCN network, the equipment accesses to the U2000 Web LCT through the SCC board. The RTN equipment can also access to the U2000 Web LCT through the network interface of the Ethernet board. When the RTN equipment accesses to the U2000 Web LCT by using the network interface of the Ethernet board, set the access parameters of the Ethernet board for the equipment to communicate with the U2000 Web LCT.
- Setting the Packet Priority
After the packet priority is set, DCN and service packets will not interfere mutually.
- Enabling the Tunnel DCN(USP platform)
The NM information can be transported in the IP/GRE Tunnel only when the DCN access function is enabled for the IP/GRE tunnel.
