XPIC

When two IF boards that form an XPIC working group are installed on an IDU, you can create an XPIC working group to ensure that the XPIC working group is configured with the same work mode, transmission frequency, TX power, and ATPC attributes. In this user interface, you can perform operations such as creating, querying and deleting the XPIC working group.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, choose Configuration > Link Configuration from the Function Tree. Click the XPIC tab.

NOTICE:

Deleting XPIC working groups may interrupt services. Exercise caution when you perform this operation.

T/R Spacing(MHz)

For example: 161

Sets the interval between the transmit frequency and the receive frequency of an ODU board to avoid mutual interference.

IF Channel Bandwidth

For example: 40MHz

The channel frequency bandwidth, that is, channel bandwidth or channel interval, depends on the spectrum of the signal transmitted, or depends on the capacity and the modulation mode used.

Power to Be Received - V(dBm)

-90.0 to -20.0

Sets the power to be received of polarization direction-V.

Power to Be Received - H(dBm)

-90.0 to -20.0

Sets the power to be received of polarization direction-H.

Maximum Transmit Power (dBm)

-10.0 to 35.0

Sets the maximum transmit power for a radio frequency port.

Transmit Power (dBm)

-10.0 to 35.0

Sets the transmit power for a radio frequency port.

Transmit Frequency (MHz)

0 to 4294967.295

Sets the transmit frequency of the ODU board. Signals can be transmitted and received properly only when the frequencies of the transmitter and the receiver at two ends are matched.

Transmission Status

mute, unmute

Sets the transmitting status of a radio frequency transmitter. The parameter value can be accurate to only 0.1 dBm.

ATPC Adjustment(dB)

1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Sets the parameter to specify the step for increasing or decreasing the transmit power of an ODU board at a time during the ATPC adjustment.

ATPC Enable Status

Disabled, Enabled

Default value: Disabled

When the ATPC is enabled, according to the current receive power of the ODU and the set ATPC thresholds, the ATPC module inserts the ATPC overhead. According to the ATPC overhead, the opposite ODU adjusts the transmit power.

When the ATPC is disabled, the ATPC module does not insert any ATPC overhead.

ATPC Upper Threshold(dBm)

-75.0 to -20.0

When the ATPC function is enabled, the opposite ODU adjusts the transmit power depending on whether the receive power of the local ODU is within the set range. The ATPC Upper Threshold parameter specifies a value that triggers the reducing of the transmit power of the opposite ODU when the receive power of the local ODU exceeds the value.

ATPC Lower Threshold(dBm)

-90.0 to -35.0

The ATPC Lower Threshold parameter specifies a value that triggers the increasing of the transmit power of the opposite ODU when the receive power of the local ODU is less than the value. The ATPC Lower Threshold parameter is used to prevent the receive power of the local ODU from being too low. If the receive power of the local ODU is too low, services are affected.

ATPC Automatic Threshold Enable Status

Disabled, Enabled

Sets the enable status of ATPC automatic threshold.

AM Boost Enable Status

Enable, Disable

The rated transmit power of ODUs is different in each modulation mode. When the modulation mode with higher bandwidth is used, the maximum transmit power is smaller. After the AM function is enabled, the transmit power reduces regularly as the bandwidth for the modulation mode increases. This reduces system gains and anti-fading compatibilities. After the AM boost function is enabled, the maximum transmit power of ODUs increases in modulation mode with high bandwidth and therefore the system gains increase.

NOTE:
  • The AM boost function can be enabled when the following conditions are met:
    • The AM function is enabled.
    • The IF channel bandwidth is 7, 14, 28, or 56 MHz.
    • The guaranteed AM capacity is QPSK, 16QAM, or 32QAM.
    • The full AM capacity is 64QAM, 128QAM, or 256QAM.
  • The ATPC and AM boost functions are exclusive. If ATPC is enabled, the AM boost function is automatically disabled.

This parameter is configurable only when AM Status is set to Enable.

NOTE:

This parameter can be set to 512QAM, 1024QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, or 1024QAMLight only when Running Mode of the board is IS3.

Modulation Mode of the Full AM Capacity

QPSK, 16QAM, 32QAM, 64QAM, 128QAM, 256QAM, 512QAM, 1024QAM, 2048QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, 1024QAMLight,QPSKStrong_250M, QPSKStrong_500M

Specifies the highest-order modulation scheme that the AM function supports. This parameter is set according to the network plan. Generally, the value of this parameter is determined by the bandwidth of the services that need to be transmitted over the Hybrid radio and the availability of the microwave link that corresponds to this modulation scheme.

This parameter is configurable only when AM Status is set to Enable.

NOTE:

This parameter can be set to 512QAM, 1024QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, or 1024QAMLight only when Running Mode of the board is IS3.

Manual Modulation Mode

QPSK, 16QAM, 32QAM, 64QAM, 128QAM, 256QAM, 512QAM, 1024QAM, 2048QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, 1024QAMLight,QPSKStrong_250M, QPSKStrong_500M

specifies the modulation scheme that the microwave link uses for signal transmission.

This parameter is configurable only when AM Status or AMAC Status is set to Disable.

NOTE:

This parameter can be set to 512QAM, 1024QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, or 1024QAMLight only when Running Mode of the board is IS3.

Tx Modulation Mode

QPSK, 16QAM, 32QAM, 64QAM, 128QAM, 256QAM, 512QAM, 1024QAM, 2048QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, 1024QAMLight,QPSKStrong_250M, QPSKStrong_500M

Sets the modulation mode of the transmit-end.

Rx Modulation Mode
