In the NE Explorer, select a board and then choose Configuration > Hybrid/AM Configuration from the Function Tree.

Parameters

Field

Value

Description

Port

slot number-board name-port number

Displays the port of the IF board.

IF Channel Bandwidth

7MHz, 14MHz, 28MHz, 40MHz, 56MHz

Specifies the IF channel bandwidth of the port.

The channel frequency bandwidth, that is, channel bandwidth or channel interval, depends on the spectrum of the signal transmitted, or depends on the capacity and the modulation mode used.

AM Mode

Symmetric, Asymmetric

Default value: Asymmetric

Specifies the AM mode.

AM Status

Disable, Enable

Default value: Disable

Enables or disables the AM.

If the AM is enabled, the assured capacity and full capacity modulation modes can be edited, but the manually specified modulation mode is grayed.

If the AM is disabled, the manually specified modulation mode can be edited, but the assured capacity and full capacity modulation modes are grayed.

Modulation Mode of Guaranteed AM Capacity

QPSK, 16QAM, 32QAM, 64QAM, 128QAM, 256QAM, 512QAM, 1024QAM, 2048QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, 1024QAMLight,QPSKStrong_250M, QPSKStrong_500M

Specifies the lowest-order modulation scheme that the AM function supports. This parameter is set according to the network plan. Generally, the value of this parameter is determined by the service transmission bandwidth that the Hybrid radio must ensure and the availability of the microwave link that corresponds to this modulation scheme.

This parameter is configurable only when AM Status is set to Enable.

NOTE:

This parameter can be set to 512QAM, 1024QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, or 1024QAMLight only when Running Mode of the board is IS3.

Modulation Mode of the Full AM Capacity

QPSK, 16QAM, 32QAM, 64QAM, 128QAM, 256QAM, 512QAM, 1024QAM, 2048QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, 1024QAMLight,QPSKStrong_250M, QPSKStrong_500M

Specifies the highest-order modulation scheme that the AM function supports. This parameter is set according to the network plan. Generally, the value of this parameter is determined by the bandwidth of the services that need to be transmitted over the Hybrid radio and the availability of the microwave link that corresponds to this modulation scheme.

This parameter is configurable only when AM Status is set to Enable.

NOTE:

This parameter can be set to 512QAM, 1024QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, or 1024QAMLight only when Running Mode of the board is IS3.

Manual Modulation Mode

QPSK, 16QAM, 32QAM, 64QAM, 128QAM, 256QAM, 512QAM, 1024QAM, 2048QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, 1024QAMLight,QPSKStrong_250M, QPSKStrong_500M

specifies the modulation scheme that the microwave link uses for signal transmission.

This parameter is configurable only when AM Status or AMAC Status is set to Disable.

NOTE:

This parameter can be set to 512QAM, 1024QAM, QPSKStrong, 16QAMStrong, 512QAMLight, or 1024QAMLight only when Running Mode of the board is IS3.

Enable E1 Priority

Enable, Disable

Enables or disables processing of E1 services based on priority levels.

If this parameter is set to Enable, NEs on a channel process E1 services according to the preset priorities when the channel deteriorates. Specifically, E1 services are transmitted or discarded accordingly.

NOTE:

This parameter is configurable only when AM Enable Status is set to Enable.

Guaranteed E1 Capacity

For example: 40

Specifies the minimum number of E1 services that can be transmitted in hybrid mode.
  • If AM Enable Status is set to Enabled, this parameter needs to be set according to IF Channel Bandwidth, Modulation Mode of Guaranteed AM Capacity, and the actually transmitted services.
  • If AM Enable Status is set to Disabled, this parameter needs to be set according to IF Channel Bandwidth, Manual Modulation Mode, and the actually transmitted services.
  • For the ISU2 and ISX2 boards, this parameter is available when IF Service Type is Hybrid(Native E1+ETH).
  • For the ISX2 boards, the Guaranteed E1 Capacity may vary with the XPIC Enabled value (Enabled or Disabled) although the IF channel bandwidth and modulation mode are the same.
  • The Guaranteed E1 Capacity value varies with boards. For details, see technical specifications of the boards in the related device documentation.
NOTE:
You need to check the maximum capacity that can be specified currently to ensure that the value of this parameter does not exceed the limit.

E1 Capacity

For example: 4

Specifies the number of E1 services that can be transmitted in hybrid mode.

Full E1 Capacity

For example: 10

Specifies the maximum number of E1 services that can be transmitted in hybrid mode.
