SDH/PDH Service Management

In this user interface, you can configure line and tributary services for stations, such as services at VC4, VC3 and VC12 levels. In addition, you can configure SNCP services and other services. You can also query and delete cross-connections and print the cross-connection information. During the configuration, if the new service is not configured correctly, the U2000 Web LCT does not deliver the settings to NEs and a prompt is displayed automatically.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, click an NE and choose Configuration > SDH/PDH Service Management from the Function Tree.

Buttons

Button

Description

Create SNCP

Displays a dialog box for the user to create the SNCP service.

To Normal

Converts an SNCP service to a normal service.

To SNCP

Converts a normal service to an SNCP service.

This button is available only when services are expanded and displayed as unidirectional services.

Filter

Sets the filter criteria, including Level, Source Port, Sink Port, Source VC4, and Sink VC4.

Display

Displays all services separately as unidirectional services or bidirectional services regardless of whether the channel numbers are consecutive or not.

Scheme

Selects the numbering scheme for VC12 timeslots. The two schemes are Sequential Mode (ITU-T) and interleaved cross-connection.

Parameters

Field

Value

Description

Level

VC12, VC3, VC4

Specifies the level of the newly created service.

Type

,,,,,,,,

  • indicates that a service passes through the line bidirectionally.
  • indicates that a service passes through the line unidirectionally.
  • indicates a service is dropped from the line to the tributary (unidirectional).
  • indicates a service is added from the tributary to the line (unidirectional).
  • indicates that a service is added from the tributary to the line and also dropped from the line to the tributary (bidirectional).
  • indicates that the service passes through the same line board unidirectionally.
  • indicates that the service passes through between two timeslots of the same line board bidirectionally.
  • indicates that the service passes through the same tributary board unidirectionally.
  • indicates that the service passes through between two timeslots of the same tributary board or two tributary boards of the same node bidirectionally.

Source (Sink) Slot

Format: Slot ID-Board Name-Port

Specifies the service source (sink) slot.

Source (Sink) Timeslot/Path

For example: VC4:1:1

Displays the source (sink) timeslot or channel that the cross-connection services uses.

E1 Priority

High, Low, None

Sets the priority of a VC12 service.
  • When the priority of a service is set to High, transmission of the service is guaranteed first if the channel is deteriorated.
  • When the priority of a service is set to Low, the service is discarded first if the channel is deteriorated.
  • When the priority of a service is set to None, the service is discarded randomly if the channel is deteriorated.
NOTE:

This parameter is configurable only when Enable E1 Priority is set to Enable.

Direction

Bidirectional, Unidirectional

The service received and transmitted through the same route is called bidirectional service, while the service received and transmitted through different routes is called unidirectional service.

Source (Sink) Port

For example: 1

Sets the source (sink) ports of the service.

Source (Sink) VC4

For example: VC4-1

Selects the source (sink) VC4. This parameter is unavailable if a tributary board is selected for Source (Sink) Slot.

Source (Sink) Timeslot Range (e.g.1,3-6)

For example: 1

Sets the specific timeslot or timeslot range of the service. The format of inputting multiple consecutive timeslots: start timeslot number - end timeslot number. The format of inputting multiple inconsecutive timeslots: ts1,ts2.... Two formats can be used together.

The range can be different for different levels of services or different boards.

Service Type

SNCP

Specifies the service type of the newly created SNCP service.

Revertive Mode

Revertive, Non-Revertive

Specifies whether to switch back to the original working service after removing the fault. Select Revertive to switch back to the working service, or select Non-Revertive not to switch back to the working service any longer.

Hold-off Time (100ms)

0 to 100

Default: 0

Sets the hold-off time for the NE.

WTR Time (s)

300 to 720

Sets the WTR time for the NE.
