Basic Attributes

In this interface, you can query and set the Basic Attributes of the SDH interface.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, click the NE and choose Configuration > Interface Management > SDH Interface from the Function Tree. Then, click the Basic Attributes tab.
In the NE Explorer, click the board and select Configuration > Interface Management > SDH Interface from the Function Tree. Then, click the Basic Attributes tab.

Shortcut Menu Items

Item	Description
Query PPP Running Status	In the case of a network failure, you can query the running status of the PPP to analyze the cause of the failure. Select Port, right-click, and choose Query PPP Running Status from the shortcut menu. The PPP Running Status dialog box is displayed. Click Close. NOTE: The encapsulation type of the created SDH interface must be PPP.
Reset PPP	In the case of a network failure, you can reset the PPP to enable the PPP ports on the two ends of a link to re-negotiate. Right-click Port, and choose Reset PPP from the shortcut menu. A dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation will interrupt the services. Click Yes. A dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation was successful. Click Close. NOTE: The encapsulation type of the created SDH interface must be PPP. NOTICE: Resetting the PPP will interrupt services.
Query Relevant Tunnels	Views the selected Tunnel in the E2E Tunnels management window. If the Tunnel cannot be found, the U2000 Web LCT displays a message indicating that the Tunnel cannot be associated.
Performance Statistics Management	Manages the performance statistic of the specified port.

Parameters

Field	Value	Description
Port	Slot-Board Name-Port (Port No.)	Display the port name.
Name	For example: Port1	Enter the self-defined port name.
Port Mode	Layer 1, Layer 2	Displays the working mode of the SDH interface according to the type of the housed board. Layer 1 indicates the current channelized STM port. Layer 2 indicates the current ATM STM port.
Encapsulation Type	Null, ATM	Displays the encapsulation type. When Port Mode is Layer 1, Encapsulation Type defaults to Null, and cannot be modified. When Port Mode is set to Layer 2, Encapsulation Type defaults to ATM, and cannot be modified.
Channelize	Yes, No	Display whether the interface is channelized.
Max Data Packet Size (byte)	-, 46 to 9000	Displays or specifies the maximum packet length. This parameter can be set only when Port Mode is set to Layer 3, and Encapsulation Type to PPP.
Laser Interface Status	Off, On Default: On	Enable or disable the laser.

Service Type	For example: ATM Service	Indicates the type of the service that is associated with the port.
Service ID	For example: 20	Indicates the ID of the service that is associated with the port. Click a service ID, the current window switches to the service management window of the corresponding service.
Service Name	For example: ATM	Indicates the name of the services that is associated with the port.
Used Resource	-	Indicates the resource usage rate of the service associated with the port.

Logical Port Type	For example: Serial Interface	Indicates the type of the logical port of the port.
Logical Port ID	For example: 20	Indicates the ID of the logical port of the port. Click a port ID, the current window switches to the port management window of the corresponding port.
Logical Port Name	For example: 3	Indicates the name of the logical port.
Used Resource	-	Indicates the resource usage rate of the logical port.
