In this interface, you can query and set the general attributes of the PDH interface.

Description

Query PPP Running Status

In the case of a network failure, you can query the running status of the PPP to analyze the cause of the failure.

Select Port, right-click, and choose Query PPP Running Status from the shortcut menu. The PPP Running Status dialog box is displayed. Click Close.

NOTE:

The encapsulation type of the created PDH interface must be PPP.

Reset PPP

In the case of a network failure, you can reset the PPP to enable the PPP ports on the two ends of a link to re-negotiate.

Right-click Port, and choose Reset PPP from the shortcut menu. A dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation will interrupt the services. Click Yes. A dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation was successful. Click Close.

NOTE:

The encapsulation type of the created PDH interface must be PPP.

NOTICE:
Resetting the PPP will interrupt services.

Performance Statistics Management

Manages the performance statistic of the specified port.

Parameters

Display the port name.

Name

For example: Port1

Enter the self-defined port name.

Port Mode

Layer 1, Layer 2, Layer 3

Select the working mode of the PDH port.

Layer 1: The port can carry TDM signals.

Layer 2: The port can carry IMA signals.

Layer 3: The port can carry PPP protocol packets.

Encapsulation Type

Null, ATM, PPP

Select the encapsulation type.

When Port Mode is set to Layer 1, Encapsulation Type defaults to Null, and cannot be modified.

When Port Mode is set to Layer 2, Encapsulation Type defaults to ATM, and cannot be modified.

When Port Mode is set to Layer 3, set Encapsulation Type to Null or PPP.

Channelize

Yes, No

Specifies whether the port is channelized.

Select Board

Example:3-MD1

Select the board.

Max Data Packet Size (byte)

46 to 1900

Default: 1620

Set the maximum data packet length.

This parameter can be set only when Port Mode is set to Layer 3, and Encapsulation Type to PPP.

Optical/Electrical Port Attribute

Electrical Port, Optical Port

Indicates the port type, optical or electrical.

Direction

Bidirectional, Unidirectional

Indicates the port direction.

Service ID

For example: 20

Indicates the ID of the service that is associated with the port.

Click a service ID, the current window switches to the service management window of the corresponding service.

Service Name

Indicates the name of the services that is associated with the port.

Used Resource

Indicates the resource usage rate of the service associated with the port.
