Advanced Attributes

In this interface, you can query and set the advanced attributes of the PDH interface.

Navigation Path

NOTICE:

As a loopback interrupts services, it is only used for fault location and must be released after the fault is removed.

Parameters

Table 1 Descriptions of the parameters for PDH interface Advanced Attributes

Field

Value

Description

Port

For example: Slot-Board Name-Port (Port No.)

Display the port name.

Frame Format

Unframe, Double Frame, CRC-4 Multiframe

Select the frame format.

When the emulation mode of a CES service is CESoPSN, the frame format at the interface should be set to CRC-4 Multiframe. When the emulation mode of a CES service is SAToP, the frame format at the interface should be set to Unframe.

Line Encoding Format

HDB3

Display the line encoding format.

Clock Mode

Master Mode, Slave Mode, Line Clock Mode

Select the clock mode.
  • Master Mode indicates that the internal clock signals are adopted.
  • Slave Mode indicates that clock signals restored based on ACR are used.
  • Line Clock Mode indicates that the upstream clock signals of E1 links are used.

Loopback Mode

Non-Loopback, Inloop, Outloop

Set the loopback status of the port.

Composite Port Loopback

Non-Loopback, Inloop, Outloop

Default: Non-Loopback

  • Inloop indicates that loopback occurs in the composite signals to be transmitted to the remote end.
  • Outloop indicates that loopback occurs in the composite signals to be received.
  • Generally, this parameter takes the default value.

Impedance

75 ohm, 120 ohm

Display the impedance of the interface.

Service Load Indication

Load, Non-Loaded

Default: Load

Sets the service loading status of the corresponding port on the tributary board.

Object: port

To mask all the alarms of a port not loaded with any service on the tributary board, you need to set the service loading indication of this tributary board port to: Non-Loaded.

For a tributary board with service running, the corresponding port must be set to: Load.

NOTE:

If a path is configured with services and carries real services, set Service Load Indication to Load. If a path is configured with services but does not carry real services, set Service Load Indication to Non-Loaded to suppress the reporting of certain alarms.

If you select Non-Loaded, you do not need to click OK in the Confirm dialog box.

NOTICE:

If you set the service load indication to Non-Loaded, the services may be interrupted or you may fail to log in to certain NEs.

Frame Mode

30, 31

Set the value of the frame mode.

The frame modes of the local port and opposite port should be the same.

NOTE:
  • 30: The 1-15 and 17-31 timeslots in the E1 frame format are used to transmit service data.
  • 31: The 31 timeslots in the E1 frame format are used to transmit service data.

CES Encapsulation Clock Mode

-, NULL, Line Clock Mode, System Clock Mode

Sets the encapsulation mode of the clock signal at the UNI port on the master side of the CES service.

  • NULL: indicates that clock signals are not encapsulated into service packets.
  • Line Clock Mode: indicates that the clock frequency signals extracted at the line port are encapsulated into the RTP packet header as time stamp information, and then are sent to the downstream.
  • System Clock Mode: indicates that the system clock frequency information is encapsulated into the RTP header as time stamp information, and then are sent to the downstream.

CES Encapsulation Clock Poke

-, Disabled, Enabled

Configure an E1 port to generate a time stamp on the master NE.

NOTE:

When CES ACR is in line clock timestamp mode, the master NE must enable an E1 to generate a time stamp. At the same time, only one E1 port can be enabled on one NE. When one E1 port is enabled to generate a time stamp, if you enable another E1 port, an error message indicating a parameter error will be displayed.

Select Board

Example:3-MD1

Select the board.

Idle Timeslot Recovery Value

-, 0 to 255

Set the value of Idle Timeslot Recovery Value

Input Signal Equalization

Equalized, Unequalized

Sets whether the input signals of each port on the tributary board need to be equalized, and whether to select Equalized or Unequalized depends on the cable length. When the selected cable is longer than 70 meters, please select the Equalized mode for this port.

Output Signal Equalization

Equalized, Unequalized

Sets whether the output signals of each port on the tributary board need to be equalized, and whether to select Equalized or Unequalized depends on the cable length. When the selected cable is longer than 70 meters, please select the Equalized mode for this port.
