GRE Tunnel Management

If ATM or CES emulation service that travels through an IP network is required, the RTN equipment can use the GRE tunnel to carry the service. In this interface, you can create a GRE tunnel, query or modify the general attributes of a GRE tunnel.

Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, click the NE and choose Configuration > IP/GRE Tunnel Management > GRE Tunnel Management from the Function Tree.

The static route must be configured.

Description

Delete

To release ports for other services, you can delete redundant GRE tunnels.

Select an GRE tunnel and click Delete. The Confirm dialog box is displayed. Click OK. A dialog box is displayed indicating that the operation is successful. Click Close.

NOTE:
  • You are user with Operator Group authority or higher.

Parameters

Tunnel ID

Example: 5

Display and set the tunnel ID. You can also select the automatic allocation.

Loopback Port

Used, Not Used

Display and set loopback port.

NOTE:

When Loopback Port is set to Used, Source Board and Source Port, is unavailable.

Source Board

Example: Slot-Board Name

Display and set the source board.

Source Port

Example: Port (Port No.)

Display and set the source port.

Destination IP Address

Example: 1.16.0.3

Display and set the LSR ID of the sink NE.

VLAN ID

Example: 5

Display and set the VLAN ID.

NOTE:

If the created tunnel is carried by VLAN sub-interfaces, VLAN ID cannot be set for the tunnel.

Protection Group

Example: 1

Display the protection group.
