Navigation Path

In the NE Explorer, click an NE and choose Configuration > Clock > Clock Source Priority from the Function Tree.

Buttons

Button

Description

Heightens the priority of the selected clock source.

Lowers the priority of the selected clock source.

Parameters

Field

Value

Description

Clock Source

For example: Internal Clock Source

The clock sources in the list used by the current NE have different priorities according to their sequences, with the uppermost clock source having the highest priority.

Other Fiber End

For example: NE2-Shelf18(subrack)-18-11ST2-2(RM2/TM2)

Indicates the port connected to the clock source by a fiber.

External Clock Source Mode

2 MHz, 2 Mbit/s, 64kHz+8kHz

Selects the external clock source mode. Only the input external clock source can be set.

NOTE:

For OptiX PTN 3900–8 NE added 82STI board, when Clock Source is set to External Clock Source 1, this parameter is 64kHz+8kHz.

Synchronous Status Byte

SA4, SA5, SA6, SA7, SA8

Selects the byte in the external clock signal used to transmit the synchronization status message.

Only the external clock source input in 2 Mbit/s mode can be set.

TU

-

The tributary board that can be selected when setting the tributary clock source.

Clock Source Priority(Highest: 1)

An integer greater than or equal to 1

"1" indicates the highest priority of the clock source. The priority increases as the value decreases.

Lowest Traceable Clock Quality

G.811 Reference Clock, G.812 Transit Clock, G.812 Local Clock, SETS Clock

Sets the lowest traceable clock quality of the clock source.
