Configuring the Service Type

Procedure

1. Double-click or right-click a board in the slot diagram and choose Path View from the shortcut menu.
2. In the Path View, right-click in the blank area and choose Port Attribute, the Port Attribute dialog box is displayed.
3. In the Port Attribute-Service Type tab, select the desired optical interface. Double-click the Service Type field and select the required service type.
   NOTE:

   In the NE Explorer, configure the service type of a board:

   1. In the NE Explorer, select the desired board, and choose Configuration > WDM Interface from the Function Tree.
   2. Select By Board/Port (Channel) and choose Channel from the drop-down list.
   3. In the Basic Attributes tab, select the desired optical interface. Double-click the Service Type field and select the required service type.
   4. Click Apply.

   When configuring a GE or 10GE service, make sure that the service encapsulation types specified for the transmitter and receiver are the same.

   If you set Service Type to Any, you must set the service rate in Client Service Bearer Rate (Mbit/s).

   If you set Service Type to 10GE LAN, you must set the Port Mapping .

4. Click Apply.
