Customizing the Optical Power Management Template

On the Web LCT, you can customize the optical power management template. By using the template, you can query parameters, such as the input optical power and output optical power, of a specified object and set parameters, such as the reference values of the input and output optical power and the reference working threshold.

Procedure

  1. Choose Configuration > Optical Power Management from the main menu (traditional style); alternatively, double-click Fix-Network NE Configuration in Application Center and choose Configuration > Optical Power Management from the main menu (application style). In the pane on the left, select an NE or board, or more NEs or boards, and click .
  2. Click Query. The result of the optical power query is displayed in the user interface. Double click parameters, such as Reference Input Power (dBm), Reference Output Power (dBm), Reference Working Lower Threshold (dBm), and Reference Working Upper Threshold (dBm), and set values for the parameters.
  3. Click Apply.

    NOTE:

    If user changes the optical power threshold, a Confirm dialog box is displayed, indicating that the value of optical power threshold has been changed.

  4. Choose Filter by Template > Save As. In the dialog box displayed, enter the name of the template. Click OK.
  5. Optional: Choose Filter by Template > Delete. In the dialog box displayed, select the template that you want to delete and click Delete.
