Service Package (LQM/LQM2/LWX2)

The service package module helps you perform typical service configurations. In this manner, you are freed from the in-field commissioning. This reduces costs of deployment commissioning and maintenance of products. In addition, the equipment can be configured in a one-touch manner.

Service Package Operation Scenario

Service package is a new feature of the OptiX OSN 1800 series. According to this feature, During deployment, you need to manually select a typical service package for service configuration, and then issue a service package command to configure services and query the service package information.

The system state and mode are as follows:
  • Currently, the expansion cannot be performed based on existing services. If the expansion is required, you need to clear the existing services and then configure new services.
  • When the service of another type needs to be added through any one of optical interfaces 3-6 of the LQM2, re-configure the interface in the common mode; otherwise, the service is not available.
  • If an active/standby switching occurs during the loading of the service package script, you need to upload the script again.
  • If the NE is reset or switched during the configuration of a script, you need to restart the service package.

Service Package Configuration Specifications

The OptiX OSN 1800 series support the GE service package and the Hybrid Transmission of the GE/STM-1 Services package. The LQM, LQM2 and LWX2 boards support the service package configuration.

You can also issue a command to manually apply a service package, the service package can be used to automatically configure services of all boards on the NE. The manual application of a service package clears all the previous configuration data on the NE, and then the required configuration commands are executed. Actually, the service package issues a series of configuration commands to configure cross-connections and types of services on ports. Rate is configured for ports on the LWX2 board.
