The external port of a clock board can be used to connect the external time. In addition, the external port can be used for the concatenation of the clock boards within a multi-subrack NE.
Prerequisites
The STG board must be created.
When concatenation of the external ports of a clock board is configured, the 120-ohm external clock interface cable should be used as the network cable for the concatenation.
Background Information
When the Enabled Status of the external clock source port of a clock board switches from Enabled to Disabled, the clock mode of the NE switches automatically to the physical layer synchronization mode.
Procedure
- In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose from the Function Tree.
- Click Query to query the concatenation status of the external ports of a clock board.
- Select a port, and select the required value from the drop-down list of the Enabled Status field.
- Click Apply to apply the configuration.
