Adding Clock Sources

When configuring the clock used by the SCC board, you can add clock sources to provide different reference clocks. You can select different clock sources to decide the direction of clock synchronization in the network.

Prerequisites

It is applicable to the SCC board of the OptiX OSN 3800, OptiX OSN 6800 and OptiX OSN 8800 series.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select the SCC board and choose Configuration > Clock Priority from the Function Tree.
  2. Click Query to query clock source priorities.

    NOTE:
    Clock sources are arranged in a descending order according to their priorities.

  3. In the clock source list, right-click and choose Add Clock Source from the shortcut menu. The Add Clock Source dialog box is displayed.
  4. In the Add Clock Source dialog box, select a clock source and click OK. The selected clock source appears in the clock source list.
  5. Click or to adjust the clock source priority.
  6. Click Apply.
