Configuring Flow Control

If congestion occurs on the link when the flow control function is enabled, the Ethernet interface sends a PAUSE frame to the opposite end, and then the opposite end stops transmitting Ethernet packets. As a result, congestion is avoided.

Procedure

  1. In the NE Explorer, select an NE and choose Configuration > Packet Configuration > Interface Management > Ethernet Interface from the Function Tree.
  2. Click the Flow Control tab.
  3. Select the desired board and set the parameters as required.
  4. Click Apply. The Operation Result dialog box is displayed indicating that the operation is successful.
  5. Click Close.
