Adding/Modifying a Port

In this user interface, you can dynamically add a port or modify the attributes of a port.

Adding a port: In the NE Panel, right-click a board and choose Path View from the shortcut menu. The Path View of the board is displayed. Right-click a blank area, and choose Add Port from the shortcut menu.
Modifying a port: In the NE Panel, right-click a board and choose Path View from the shortcut menu. The Path View of the board is displayed. Right-click a client-side port or a line-side port, and choose Modify Port from the shortcut menu.

Field	Value	Description
Port	For example: 3	Specifies the number of the port that you want to add or modify.
Type	For example: Line Side Grey Optical Port	Specifies the type of the port that you want to add or modify. NOTE: It does not support to change the Type from Line Side Color Optical Port or Line Side Grey Optical Port to Electrical Port. It does not support to change the Type from Electrical Port to Line Side Color Optical Port or Line Side Grey Optical Port.
Level	For example: STM-4	Sets the rate level of the optical interface.
